Day 9 after tah bso.
I over did it yesterday ( emptied the ash from woodburner because I was cold). Have been bleeding ever since. Not enough to be really alarmed but enough to be shocked.
From day 6 my night sweats have come back ā€“ to pre-zoladex levels ā€“ I.e. Lasting 5 hours with multiple clothing, bedding changes and a washing machine on overtime.
Why?
Iā€™m taking 6 pumps estrodose across the day.
Can someone please explain the extreme night sweats, my appt. with specialist is not till August.

Hi,

Sounds like you're doing a bit much! You MUST rest - you only have one chance at recovery. I literally moved between bed and sofa and slept LOADS post op so early on.

As for your sweats - it could be down to your Estrodose. Is that the gel in the white and turquoise bottle? I found that gel terrible and much preferred Oestrogel in the white and gold bottle. Doctors and chemists will try and tell you it's the same drug, and it may well be, but The gold bottle is so much more effective. Maybe ask for a new prescription and try to source the gold and white bottle? OR it could be that 6 pumps is too much and I "think" that too much oestrogen can cause sweats too. Its a tricky balancing act. Good luck and take it easy. x

Thanks for replying.

My local boots claim they can't get white and gold bottle anymore. I had it last year and it was much better but have only had white turquoise bottle for last 8 months

I'm much better in myself today during the day but the night sweats are making me want to shave my head, the pillow is soaked from once side to the other. I lie in bed sobbing as the sweat drips of my legs and stomach.

GP is trying to get hold of specialist but guess I'm in for a wet weekend.

Apparently Boots here can't get it either. When I used it, I had to change to Apple pharmacy to get the white and gold bottle. If no Apple near you, try all the others, you might get lucky. Sorry you're suffering. What about a Ladycare magnet (you'll find it on Google) or a cooling pillow (Coopers of Stortford do them) or a fan? A cotton sheet can be quite refreshing or cold water on the wrists, sage tea. Google natural remedies/answers for night sweats and I'm sure you'll find something to get you through the weekend. Check it can be used with HRT though so you don't have any problems. Good luck. x
